He’s picked up the moniker of the ‘Buckfast poster boy’, whilst also receiving airplay from the likes of Craig Charles and Krafty Kuts and his remixes and originals have raked in numerous number ones in the Hypeddit & Juno download charts, award nominations and radio plays around the globe.

Irish born but Edinburgh based, DJ & Producer Gramophone Soul took time out of his busy schedule to answer a few quick questions and settle the debate once and for about which nightclub really is the best ever.

Favourite tune of the last decade?

Fuck thats a tough one. I Can’t answer that! Favourite tune of all time though, Marvin Gaye – Ain’t No Mountain High Enough.

Funniest thing you’ve seen while performing?

Not something I’ve seen playing, but I once tried to hand my stinky sweaty trainer to Laurent Garnier, I was absolutely away with it though to be fair ha ha. I can still remember the look on his face!

Favourite 90s tune?

Fatboy Slim – Praise You, also You’ve Come A Long Way Baby is my favourite album of the 90s

Worst job you ever had?

Probably working on a certain car production line, doing shift work, spending 11hrs a day adjusting the left hand door. I know shit about cars, but can fix your door…the left hand one.

Biggest change in the industry while you have been involved?

Probably the change from Vinyl to Digital. The first CDJs were a game changer for me.

Best club you’ve been to present or past?

The Arena, Armagh, Northern Ireland. Was fuckin mental… nuff said.

Tell us something that happened to you that is true but it sounds like a lie?

Got to play at the Miami Winter Music Conference one year by default. My friend knew the DJ playing at one of the hotels and he asked me to fill in for him. Got to jam it for an hour at WMC.

What made you want to become a DJ?

Going clubbing at an early age and seeing some fantastic DJs made me want to get involved.

Who is your musical hero?

I have loads, but probably Norman Cook and Dave ‘Switch’ Taylor. Hearing both of them for the first time blew my mind.

Marvin Gaye for sure.

Anything exciting happening that we should know about?
