SoundJam has been acquired by music website builder Bandzoogle.
Founded by Tom Watts and Hatty Hanna, SoundJam.co was created to demystify not only building websites and the art of self promotion, but also to pass on the valuable knowledge they had garnered from their individual careers.
Now in its 18th year of operations, Bandzoogle powers over 55,000 websites for musicians, who have sold more than $80 million in music and merch, commission-free, through the platform.
“SoundJam believes that having a good looking website is essential to the career progression of every DJ,” says SoundJam’s Co-Founder Tom Watts.
“A website enables you to network with the big players, get visible and get booked for more gigs, as well as growing your global fanbase.”
“The SoundJam team saw that a partnership with the biggest and best player in the website builder market – Bandzoogle – could only enable us to grow further and in turn enhance the careers of thousands of DJs more quickly,” continued Watts.
With this partnership, current SoundJam users will get access to Bandzoogle’s wide range of features for promoting their music and engaging their fans, as well as direct-to-fan eCommerce tools to sell music, merch, and tickets, commission-free.
“We’re excited that SoundJam members will be joining the thousands of DJs already enjoying Bandzoogle’s best-in-class website building and direct-to-fan tools.” says Bandzoogle CEO Stacey Bedford.
“Their team shares our vision of helping musicians become successful, and we’re looking forward to working with them to help their members and thousands of other DJs achieve their career goals.”
As the transition occurs, SoundJam.co will direct customers to use the Bandzoogle platform as the pair further the development to deliver the best platform for DJs and Producers.
SoundJam.co will deliver a one-stop destination for DJs, offering a suite of complementary services that will help up-and-coming DJs turbo-boost their careers.
